Meet Andrea
Dragonfly Studios was born from a deep belief that creativity is more than art — it is a pathway to personal leadership.
I’m Andrea Matteson — artist, educator, and certified mental health coach with advanced study in therapeutic and expressive arts.
Grounded in the psychology of creativity, my work explores how artistic process builds confidence, emotional intelligence, resilience, and internal leadership. When girls engage in meaningful art-making, they strengthen the neural and emotional pathways that support adaptability, courage, and self-trust.
In addition to working with girls, I also coach women in creative leadership and personal growth — guiding them to reconnect with their voice, clarity, and inner authority. Supporting both generations has deepened my understanding of how confidence develops over time — and how powerful it is when that foundation begins early.
As a mother to two daughters (8 and 11), I’m deeply invested in cultivating environments where girls lead themselves from the inside out. I’ve seen firsthand how creativity helps children navigate friendships, take healthy risks, manage big emotions, and believe in their ideas. My goal is to create a studio space that feels both inspiring and steady — where girls are challenged thoughtfully, supported warmly, and encouraged to grow into who they are becoming.
At Dragonfly Studios, creativity isn’t just an activity — it’s a leadership practice.
Meet Lisa
Lisa is a visionary educator, founder, and systems thinker who brings global perspective and grounded wisdom to Dragonfly Studios.
With a background as an executive leader across multiple industries and a former creator of family-centered programming and educational curriculum, Lisa has long been passionate about designing environments that foster growth, leadership, and self-discovery.
She holds a Master’s degree in Whole Systems Design, reflecting her belief that education is most powerful when it nurtures the whole person — mind, creativity, leadership, and well-being. Her approach integrates structure with imagination, encouraging girls to see themselves not just as artists, but as capable, thoughtful contributors to the world around them.
Since the launch of Dragonfly Studios, Lisa has also founded an international school and incubation space in Bali dedicated to self-discovery, healing, and holistic education. Her global travels and cross-cultural experiences deeply inform her understanding of how creativity connects humanity across borders.
As a proud grandmother to two granddaughters (ages 8 and 11), Lisa is personally committed to helping the next generation of girls cultivate confidence, curiosity, and inner strength. She believes creativity is not simply an activity — it is a leadership practice. Through art, girls learn to observe, imagine, solve problems, and express their unique voice.
